About the role
As a Software Engineer, you play a vital role in our product engineering capability. We’re fast growing, which means Engineers have a diverse and rewarding role covering the entire software development lifecycle, plus have material input to the product. You’ll work daily with a handful of other team members, and you’ll be on a first name basis with the leadership team starting day 1!

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy solutions via hands-on software development
• Build and debug product features spanning the CMS, CRM, and LMS
• Collaborate daily with non technical team members
• Advocate for technology ecosystem improvements to improve resilience and velocity
• Own improving software processes and documentation
• Identify opportunities for cross-team collaboration for ideas and improvements
• Assist with requests and provide upskilling to customer support staff
• Own escalations of customer support requests that require a software solution
• Drive improvement in agile practices for communication and collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years with PHP
• 3+ years working within software product roles (not just website/CMS roles)
• 3+ years with creating and maintaining API integrations between multiple internal and SaaSsystems (i.e. CMS/CRM/LMS)
• 3+ years in software company roles working in teams where multiple developers are building the same product
• 2+ years of consecutive experience working on a single software product/codebase
• Confident spoken English is essential

Desired Skills & Experience

• Some experience with WordPress
• Some experience with Ontraport
• Some experience with CI/CD and IaC technologies
• You have strong computer science and software engineering fundamentals
• You are strong in backend development, with a deep knowledge of PHP
• You can identify solution options, weighing tradeoffs and  proposing multiple paths forward
• You can communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• You have the ability to break large projects down into smaller pieces of work
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy technology solutions for features and bugs

• Conduct research and provide recommendations backed with data
• Analyze and summarize user research, then communicate to team
• Automate routine software engineering tasks
• Contribute to automated testing coverage
• Lead keeping applications and frameworks up-to-date
• Lead the support and maintenance of environments and hosting
• Perform timely investigation and resolution for bugs escalated to developers
• Perform timely investigation and resolution for production incidents/outages
• Create & maintain technical documentation
• Suggest changes to Customer-facing support documentation

Work Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on business needs
• Location: Makati | *Work from Home Until Further Notice
• Status: Full time employment
