We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in AWS, Terraform, ECS Fargate, and AWS Serverless technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance, provisioning new environments, and being a part of AWS migration projects. You will work closely with development, SRE, security and other devops team members to optimise cloud operations and drive automation.

Key Responsibilities

• AWS Infrastructure Management: Maintain, improve, and optimise AWS infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices within AWS, including monitoring with AWS Security Hub, IAM policies, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
• Environment Provisioning: Design and provision new AWS environments using Terraform, ensuring consistency and automation across deployments.
• AWS Migration: “Lift and shift” migration projects to AWS, ensuring minimal downtime and best practices for cloud adoption.
• Container Orchestration: Manage and optimize ECS Fargate deployments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Serverless Architecture: Develop and maintain AWS serverless components using Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and other AWS-native services.
• CI/CD & Automation: Enhance DevOps pipelines by implementing and improving CI/CD workflows with tools such as GitHub Actions, Scalr/Terraform Cloud
• Monitoring & Logging: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config, and third-party tools.
• Performance Optimisation: Continuously assess and improve AWS infrastructure to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to align cloud strategies with business goals.

Requirements

• Proficient in Terraform with expert-level skills in writing custom modules and effectively leveraging community modules.
• Subject matter expert across AWS networking, compute, and security services, including VPC, EC2, ECS, CloudFront, WAF, ALB/NLB, and Route 53.
• Expert level knowledge within container orchestration, specifically AWS ECS Fargate
• Experience with platform migrations and “lift and shift” in AWS
• Exposure across AWS SAM framework and associated resources such as lambda, api gateway, dynamodb
• Ability to Design and implement secure, scalable and predictable infrastructure solutions
• Experienced in CI/CD pipelines, with proficiency in automating workflows and managing infrastructure deployments.
• Solid understanding of core networking concepts, including routing, subnetting, TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, load balancing, and network security best practices. A basic foundational knowledge of the OSI model
• Equal ability to collaborate as part of a team and to work autonomously.
• Previous experience working in a PCI compliant AWS environment will be highly regarded

Work Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on business needs
