Client: Provides integrated end-to-end asset life-cycle services to utility and telecommunications asset owners, operators and regulators across Australia.

We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Product Specialist to support and enhance our suite of Atlassian products, including Jira, Confluence, Tempo, Xray, and other related applications. This role will be responsible for the configuration, administration, customisation, and ongoing development of Atlassian tools to meet business and IT requirements

Atlassian Administration & Support

• Serve as the primary administrator for Jira, Confluence, Tempo, Xray, and other Atlassian products (Cloud based), ensuring their stability, scalability, and usability.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and user training to teams across the organisation, acting as escalation point to Atlassian vendor support.
• Develop and maintain custom workflows, schemes, permission settings, and dashboards to align with business needs.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security, implementing necessary updates and patches with Atlassian.
• Manage Atlassian product related changes following ITIL based Change Control process.

Configuration & Customisation

• Design and implement custom fields, screens, and automation rules in Jira Confluence to improve team collaboration and productivity, enabling our business processes such as Agile delivery for over 100 users.
• Configure Tempo for time tracking and resource planning to support financial and operational reporting.
• Manage Xray test management integration to align with software testing workflows.

Development & Integration

• Develop custom scripts (Groovy, JavaScript) and automation using Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, or REST APIs to enhance workflows.
• Integrate Jira and Confluence with third-party tools (CI/CD pipelines, ServiceNow, Power BI, etc.) as required to streamline processes.
• Implement custom plugins, add-ons, or extensions to meet evolving business needs.

Delivery of Continuous Improvements

• Work with Agile, DevOps, and ITSM teams to refine and optimise Atlassian usage, and deliver the enhancements through an Agile fashion.
• Assess and recommend new Atlassian tools, apps, and enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
• Establish governance and compliance standards to ensure secure and efficient usage of Atlassian products.

Training & Documentation

• Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops for Jira, Confluence, and Tempo users along with the process owners for Agile delivery and resource planning.
• Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, workflows, and integrations for IT reference.
• Create user guides and quick reference guides to assist teams in effectively utilising Atlassian tools.

Experience required:

• 3+ years of experience administering and configuring Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Tempo, and Xray.
• Strong expertise in Jira Workflows, Fields, Screens, Permission Schemes, Issue Types, and Automation Rules.
• Experience with Jira REST APIs, Groovy scripting (ScriptRunner), JavaScript, and Atlassian SDK.
• Hands-on experience in integrating Atlassian products with CI/CD tools, Service Management platforms, and other enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and ITSM best practices
• Strong experience in dashboards and reporting development in Jira, Tempo, and xRay.

Qualifications:

• Atlassian Certifications (e.g., ACP-100 Jira Administrator, ACP-600 Jira Project Administrator, ACP-200 Confluence Administrator).
• Knowledge of Power BI, or other reporting tools for Jira/Tempo data analysis.
• Agile certification, project management or ITSM frameworks (ITIL, IT4IT) certification

• Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on
business needs
