About the role

We are seeking a talented Java Developer with a strong passion for cloud technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Java development and a deep understanding of AWS and Kubernetes. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and resilient cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.
• Leverage AWS services effectively, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and other relevant services.
• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Optimize application performance and scalability on the AWS cloud.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a production environment.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices.

Specific Attributes, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Strong proficiency in Java programming language and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with Spring Boot or other Java frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes containerization technologies.
• Understanding of cloud-native application development principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience with serverless computing and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• AWS certifications (e.g., Developer, Solutions Architect).
• Kubernetes certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Application Developer).

Work Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on business needs
• Location: Makati | *Work from Home Until Further Notice
• Status: 2-3mos Contract Duration
