About the Role:

• We’re looking for a Business Analyst who can help improve and stabilize our newly built Business Data Platform. This role will work closely with our CFO to refine reporting needs, understand business requirements, and support the redesign of our backend data structures.

About the Platform

• Our data platform pulls information from Jira, Tempo, Xero, Pipedrive, and other systems into an Azure Data Warehouse using FiveTran and API connections. Power BI is used for reporting, with transformations done mainly through Microsoft Fabric Notebooks.
• The platform is functional and already used internally, but it needs clearer structure, documentation, and stronger data foundations.

What You’ll Do

• Work directly with the CFO to gather reporting requirements and translate them into clear specifications.
• Review current reports, data flows, and processes to identify gaps and improvement areas.
• Support the redesign of the backend data warehouse to make it scalable, reliable, and production-ready.
• Help define business logic, data needs, and reporting structures.
• Assist with short-term dashboard/report enhancements using Power BI.
• Document processes, data definitions, and reporting logic for future handover.
• Coordinate with technical resources (Data Engineer/Developer) to ensure requirements are clearly communicated and implemented correctly.

 What You Should Have

• Experience working on data-driven platforms or analytics/reporting projects.
• Ability to understand business processes across finance, resourcing, sales, and operations.
• Strong requirements-gathering and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with data modelling concepts and how business logic flows into reporting.
• Experience supporting teams using Power BI or similar tools.
• Ability to translate business questions into clear data/reporting requirements.
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in environments using Azure Data Warehouse, Microsoft Fabric, or API-driven data integration.
• Understanding of PII, data sensitivity, and basic data governance concepts.
• Exposure to projects involving data warehouse redesign or optimization.
