The Operations Team Lead (with HR background) is responsible for leading the operations
team, ensuring smooth daily business processes, and driving performance efficiency. With a
strong foundation in human resources, this role also supports HR-related functions such as
employee relations, workforce planning, and policy compliance. The position requires a
leader who can balance operational excellence with people management, ensuring alignment
between business objectives and employee engagement.

Operations Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with
    company standards.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality of
    service.
  • Monitor team KPIs, SLAs, and operational performance metrics.
  • Act as a point of escalation for operational concerns and client issues.

People & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and coach the operations team to achieve performance goals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure team members have the necessary tools, training, and resources to succeed.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work culture.

HR Support & Employee Relations

  • Support HR in employee lifecycle management: recruitment, onboarding, training, and
    development.
  • Ensure company policies and labor regulations are effectively implemented and followed.
  • Handle employee concerns and promote positive employee relations in coordination
    with HR.
  • Partner with HR on workforce planning, employee engagement initiatives, and
    performance management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and other departments to ensure operational
    alignment.
  • Prepare and submit reports to senior management on operations and team performance.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and overall organizational
    success.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Human Resource Management, or related field.
  • Atleast 5 years of experience in operations, with at least 2-3 years in a team lead/ supervisory role.
  • Strong HR knowledge and background in employee relations, performance management, or HR operations.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office/ Google Workspace; knowledge of HRIS tools is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
