The Operations Team Lead (with HR background) is responsible for leading the operations
team, ensuring smooth daily business processes, and driving performance efficiency. With a
strong foundation in human resources, this role also supports HR-related functions such as
employee relations, workforce planning, and policy compliance. The position requires a
leader who can balance operational excellence with people management, ensuring alignment
between business objectives and employee engagement.
Operations Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with
company standards. - Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality of
service. - Monitor team KPIs, SLAs, and operational performance metrics.
- Act as a point of escalation for operational concerns and client issues.
People & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and coach the operations team to achieve performance goals.
- Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance reviews.
- Ensure team members have the necessary tools, training, and resources to succeed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work culture.
HR Support & Employee Relations
- Support HR in employee lifecycle management: recruitment, onboarding, training, and
development. - Ensure company policies and labor regulations are effectively implemented and followed.
- Handle employee concerns and promote positive employee relations in coordination
with HR. - Partner with HR on workforce planning, employee engagement initiatives, and
performance management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and other departments to ensure operational
alignment. - Prepare and submit reports to senior management on operations and team performance.
- Drive initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and overall organizational
success.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Human Resource Management, or related field.
- Atleast 5 years of experience in operations, with at least 2-3 years in a team lead/ supervisory role.
- Strong HR knowledge and background in employee relations, performance management, or HR operations.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office/ Google Workspace; knowledge of HRIS tools is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
