About the role

  • The Payment Operations Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the operations of payment operations including management of failed payments, conducting investigations, and ensuring timely understanding of issues and resolutions. This role requires expertise in various payment methods, including card schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard), bank account payment rails (e.g., BECS, ACH, ACSS) and eWallets along with an understanding of payment processing systems, with a significant focus on the technical aspects of payments.‍

Key Responsibilities

Payment Operations Management:

  • Monitor and manage payment transactions to identify and address failures, performing system analysis to identify underlying issues.
  • Investigate the root causes of payment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Payment Investigations and Resolutions:
  • Conduct detailed investigations into payment issues, discrepancies, and disputes.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment issues promptly.
  • Ensure accurate and timely resolution of payment-related queries and complaints.

Technical Expertise:

  • Leverage expertise in card schemes, bank payments, and real-time payments to enhance payment processes.
  • Collaborate with operational, product and development teams to continuously improve payments solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in payment technologies and methodologies.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to payment operations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with payment processing and operations.

Process/System Improvement:

  • Analyze existing payment processes and system efficiencies, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for payment operations.

Configuration and Verification:

  • Assist in the configuration and verification of payment gateway functionality, supporting the product and delivery team in configuration and verification.
  • Documenting system configuration requirements.

Testing Support:

  • Provide testing support for the Payment Gateway team when implementing new or improved payment solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in payment operations, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of card schemes, banking schemes (eg. BECS, ACH, ACSS), eWallets, and real-time payments.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and work with payment technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Preferred Skill

  • Experience with payment processing platforms and systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the payment industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Details

  • Shift: Monday to Friday: 6:00am- 3:00pm or 7:00am- 4:00pm PH Time; depending on business needs
  • Location: Makati | *Work from Home Until Further Notice
  • Status: Full time employment
